Youth Train In Trades – Apprenticeship Training for Students at Howe Sound Secondary

Youth Training in Trades: Professional Cook 1 is a Dual Credit Program for students in Grade 12 at Howe Sound (Grade 11 students may also be considered). This program is run in partnership with Vancouver Community College. The program runs during the 2nd semester from February to June, Monday to Friday from 9 am - 3:15 pm. This program operates out of the Howe Sound Secondary kitchen (Turnip the Beet Cafe). Students enrolled in the program are eligible to gain both their high school diploma as well as a Professional Cook Level 1 Certificate from SkilledTradesBC.
