We’re just days away from celebrating the incredible achievements of the Class of 2026! Please read carefully to ensure a smooth and memorable experience.

 
Gown Distribution: Caps and gowns will be distributed on June 4 - 9 from the office conference room, outside of class time. Please be careful not to let the tassel and stole fall out of the bag when handling your gown. We recommend you take your gown out of the bag and steam it to remove any wrinkles before the ceremony.

 

Tickets: Guests must present their ticket at the door to enter the arena. We are pleased to let families know that we are able to provide one extra ticket to students who previously requested one. They will be distributed at cap & gown pickup.

 

Mandatory Rehearsal & Prom Bag Check – June 10:

Rehearsal: 3:30 PM sharp at Brennan Park Recreation Centre. Grads are to head to Brennan Park immediately after school ends. Transportation is not provided. Please meet on the arena dry slab. All grads must attend the rehearsal. You do not need to wear your grad gown, but please wear the shoes you plan on wearing to Commencement.

Prom Bag Check: Prom check will happen immediately following the rehearsal. Any items that grads want to bring to prom must be handed in at bag check. This includes items like shoes, a change of clothes, hygiene products, make-up and any required medication (which must be in an original container from the pharmacy). Parent volunteers will be on hand in the auditorium, where they will supply you with a labelled bag. Bags will be stored securely and transported to the prom event for pickup.

 

Commencement Ceremony – June 11: Brennan Park Recreation Centre Arena
Doors open: 6:00 PM | Ceremony begins: 7:00 PM – no early birds. There will be no entry between 7 & 7:20 pm during the grad procession. Students must be in gowns and in the Auditorium by 6:30 PM. Please check in upon arrival

Accessibility: If you require special seating or accommodations, please email [email protected] by June 8.

Photos: Mountain West will take graduation photos at the ceremony. Photos will be available for pick-up at the school office about one week after commencement. Check the daily announcements for updates.

 

Attire: Recommended attire under grad gowns: dark pants/skirts/dresses, dress shoes, socks, plain collared shirt, and optional tie. Comfortable shoes are essential due to stairs and concrete floors. Ensure your gown is wrinkle-free and ready for the ceremony, with your stole securely affixed to your gown.

Grad Tea: Grade 11 parents will host a Grad Tea in the auditorium after the ceremony. All graduates and families are welcome.
