HSS hosted an online public meeting on Thursday, June 17th at 7:00 pm.
The purpose of this meeting was to address parent concerns regarding our HSS timetable structure for the upcoming 2021-22 school year. At this meeting, our HSS administrative team reviewed the planning they have done to date for the upcoming school year. These plans have centred around building the same timetable structure for the 2021-22 school year as we have in place for the current school year. The only difference we are currently planning for is to return to a semester system rather than a quarter system which was implemented over the past year as a safety measure to reduce student-to-student contact during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please note that our 2021-22 timetable is based on having all subjects in our school taught by specialist teachers which has been our standard practice at Howe Sound Secondary School.
Incoming HSS Principal, Erin Boisvert, will also be on hand to field parent questions regarding the coming school year.
