Bus Route #1 is cancelled - Friday, January 17, 2025

On January 15, 2025, the Sea to Sky School District proudly recognizes Black Excellence Day, a time to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of Black people throughout history and in our communities today. This day encourages reflection on the past, education about Black history, and a commitment to fostering equity and inclusion for all. Black Excellence Day is also an opportunity to amplify the voices of Black leaders, creators, and changemakers shaping a brighter future. Registrations are now open for the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Early Years Conference 2025: Inclusion: Creating Spaces of Belonging, taking place on February 21 & 22, 2025, at Capilano University in Squamish, BC. This two-day event will provide inspirational learning focused on tailoring an inclusive world for children with complex diagnoses and neurodiverse abilities. The conference is open to early childhood educators, school-age providers, elementary educators, support staff, childcare workers, nannies, advocates, and families. School District No. 48 (SD48) offers Early French Immersion for the Squamish area and Late French Immersion for Whistler and Pemberton. Families are invited to attend an in-person information session in one of these communities to learn more about this program of choice. Click here for more information.
